Minnesota Permit to Carry Class

Description

Our Minnesota permit to carry course covers all the fundamentals that a student needs to know to carry a pistol for self defense in Minnesota.

This comprehensive class meets all the requirements of the Minnesota Personal Protection Act in the areas of:

  1. Instruction in the fundamentals of pistol use;
  2. Successful completion of an actual shooting qualification exercise; and
  3. Instruction in the fundamental legal aspects of pistol possession, carry, and use, including self-defense and the restrictions on the use of deadly force.

 

Course Length

6 Hours (Additional time may be necessary depending on class size and range time needed.)

  3. Ammunition
  4. Firearm Safety
  5. Firearms and the Law: Possession, Ownership, and the Use of Deadly Force
  6. Selecting a Handgun for Personal Defense 
  7. Operating a pistol

 

Prerequisites

This course covers the basics of pistol operation and safety and is designed to take a beginner through the process of safely operating a pistol. No prerequisites are required but shooting experience a plus.

 

Course Cost

$100/individual. Pre-Registration is required as class size is limited.

 

Completion

Students will receive a certificate of completion, which is proof if training, which is presented to your local sheriff’s office along with the application for your permit.
